Tour the Anheuser-Busch Brewery & Clydesdale Stables: A Classic St. Louis Experience
For a mix of history, craftsmanship, and iconic American tradition, few places deliver like the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis. Located in the historic Soulard neighborhood, just 10 minutes from downtown, this legendary brewery has been operating since the mid-1800s and is still very much alive with sights, sounds, and flavors.

A guided tour of the brewery walks you through the full brewing process, from grain to glass, and into the stunning, tile-covered brewhouses where generations of beer have been crafted. Along the way, you’ll learn how Anheuser-Busch helped shape beer culture in America — and how they’re still innovating today.
One of the biggest highlights? A visit to the Budweiser Clydesdales’ stables. These majestic horses have been a symbol of the brand for decades, and seeing them up close in their beautifully preserved red-brick stable is a favorite moment for many guests.
The experience wraps up with a complimentary beer (for guests 21+) and access to the Beer Museum and gift shop. You can also upgrade to specialty tastings or food pairings in the onsite Biergarten.
Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or simply appreciate a bit of living history, the Anheuser-Busch Brewery is a can't-miss St. Louis experience — and a perfect way to spend a couple of hours soaking in local flavor, quite literally.
