Lafayette Square 2023 Garden Tour & Antique Fair

As the weather warms up and the trees bloom, summer quickly approaches the St. Louis area with lots to do this season. One of the most beautiful and memorable things to do this summer is to visit the Lafayette Square Garden Tour and Antique Fair.

Every summer, Lafayette Square hosts their semi-annual house tours. These tours focus on the gorgeous renovated Victorian homes in the Square and allow walking tours to see the finest properties. The annual summer tour features some of the most fabulous gardens in the Square, along with a mile-long antique fair stretching around the park.

This year, the Garden Tour will be hosted on June 3rd, and tickets are now on sale for individual purchases.

What Should I Expect At this Year’s Garden Tour?

The Garden Tour is an annual event that offers ticketed purchases for tours in addition to many vendors and antique dealers offering exclusive, collectible, and rare items. This year's tour will be held on June 3rd, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with over nine gardens to check out.

Each home on tour allows you to walk through perfectly manicured and specially-designed gardens and appreciate their timeless beauty. You'll be inspired to create your own garden!

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the tours. Proceeds go towards restoring and renovating Lafayette Square, one of the country's oldest historic neighborhoods.

Additionally, there is no charge to come to Lafayette Square and enjoy the lovely scenery, walk in the park, or barter with one of the many antique dealers around the park's outskirts.

Some of the free activities you can enjoy on the day of the Tour in Lafayette Square include:

  • Viewing the Packard Vintage Car display, featuring vintage vehicles designed by the Packard Motor Car Company
  • Historic 1860s baseball inside Lafayette Park, complete with period piece equipment, uniforms and rules.
  • First Saturday Concert in the Park, featuring the Power Play Band from 6:00p to 9:00p.
  • Visit the Lafayette Square Conservancy to learn about Lafayette Square's history and culture. Be sure to check out thioer booth at the antique fair. Find some treasures and help them raise money for the park.

The Lafayette Square Garden Tour is back for the 53rd year, and this tour will be sure to impress. With over nine gardens to explore, a multitude of vendors, and several free activities for the whole family, it’s a great way to start your summer.
