Summary = The Scot Joplin Historic House is an important part of St. Louis’s rich musical history. Located in the historic neighborhood of LaClede Town in St. Louis, the house was the home of Scott Joplin, the renowned American composer and pianist. Joplin, known as the “King of Ragtime,” wrote some of the most popular music of the early twentieth century, including “The Entertainer” and “Maple Leaf Rag.”

The house is now a museum that celebrates the life and music of Joplin, and is open to the public for tours. Visitors can learn about Joplin’s early life and career, as well as see artefacts from his time. The house is also used to host events and performances, and is a great way to experience the music and culture of St. Louis.
